Reliabilt Windows is a brand that is quite affordable, and thus a very popular choice for anyone looking to replace or upgrade their windows. This particular brand is exclusively sold in Lowes, and have been on the market for a long time now. They come in a variety of different materials including aluminum, but the bulk of the models available for sale are made out of vinyl. Vinyl windows have risen greatly in popularity over the years, since they tend to be more affordable, and offer better insulation. The Reliabilt brand has certainly taken advantage of this, and their product range extends into hundreds of models now.
Being an affordable brand brings a few important questions to mind however. Are they well made? And how long they will last? To answer this question it is probably best to talk about who makes these windows.
Who manufactures Reliabilt Windows for Lowes?
Reliabilt branded windows are produced by a company called Atrium, who make their own line of windows too. Atrium produces the window, then simply brands the window as Reliabilt. In some cases there are even identical models, for example the Reliabilt 3500 series is a rebranded Atrium 8700 series. However, Reliabilt is definitely the a cheaper option, since it is sold in bulk through Lowes.
Are Reliabilt Windows any good?
The company that makes them was founded in 1948, so Atrium they have quite a long history in this country. They currently have factories in both US & Canada, and are proud to be known as an American company. For these two reasons we would say they are a good reputable choice. They aren’t top of the range quality, but rather very excellent value and quality for the price.
Now we are going to have a look at some of the more popular models currently available for purchase. With hundreds of different models to choose from it is quite tough to pick favorites, but we will try to provide a balanced look at some of the better selling models.
Reliabilt 3201 Series

First up we are going to have a look at the popular 3201 series. This is considered to be an entry level double pane double hung replacement vinyl window. These come in a big range of sizes from the large 32” x 64” which retails around $170, down to the smaller 24” x 36” model which retails at around $100. This model was known as the Reliabilt 5600 series a few years ago, but was updated and rebranded as the 3201 series. This particular range of windows come in two colors including white and almond, and features a main frame that is completely welded. This window series has insulated glass panels, with optimal thermal air spaces. The construction is done with multi cavity sections, which offers enhanced sturdiness. The window is secured in place with a dual push button latch, which offers a secure and simple way to open them. Overall this is a rather basic model, but it does come with a very tempting price tag. |
Reliabilt 3301 Series

Next up we have a look at the the 3301 series, which is essentially a rebranded Atrium 8300 series. This is another double pane double hung vinyl window, and it features a few upgrades over the cheaper 3201 series. The entire mainframe is beveled on this model, which gives it a more stylish design. If you look at the picture on the left of the cut down model, you will get a good idea of what this looks like. This model also features a sloped sill, which helps to prevent air infiltration and makes it simpler for water to run off. It is avaialble in the same color varieties as the 3201 series, and comes with a limited warranty. Overall though, it does seem to be more well-made and stylish than the budget 3201 series. So if you are looking for a good mid range window, then this is certainly worth considering. This is a popular choice for many folks, who are looking for something a little better than an entry level double hung window. |
Reliabilt 3900 Series

Lastly we are going to look at the best Reliabilt have to offer in the double hung window product range, which is the 3900 series. It comes in both double and triple pane varieties, and is single strength. We aren’t 100% sure, but it certainly looks like a rebranded Atrium 8900 model. This model comes in a variety of different sizes, and the colors seem to vary. There is the option to do with a standard white interior and exterior, or you could go with some of the other dozen or so other color combinations. Aside from having all of the benefits of the other two models listed above, there are also some upgrades. The first main upgrade is the structural rating standard, which has a very impressive DPS60 rating. The next upgrade of this model is the InsulKor sash reinforcement. This is a Polyurethane fiberglass reinforcement system built in, which means it is stronger and has better thermal reinforcement. And unlike the cheaper models, the 3900 series has a limited lifetime warranty on the glass breakage. It does say 25 year warranty on the 3900 series product page, so we are assuming this is overall warranty on it. There is mention of a limited lifetime warranty on the Atrium 8900 model, but no mention of this with the Reliabilt model. So we aren’t 100% if it applies to the rebranded Reliabilt model or not. However a 25 year warranty is still quite respectable. |

I bought windows from Lowes 2 years ago. I need one repaired & I keep getting the run around. Supposed to be life time warranty, but does me no good if I can’t contact anyone.
